Karaoke discs (also known as CD+Gs, standing for 'Compact Disc plus Graphics') do not contain the songs by the artists that they claim to feature. Most karaoke CD+Gs will mention somewhere on the front or back covers that the songs featured on the disc are not performed by the original artists, but instead professionally recreated by studio musicians. In short, it's all cover bands. Bands are hired to make relatively accurate covers of original songs. So, though this CD+G (for example) features "Simple Creed" by "Live", it is actually just a cover band doing their version of the song. This is true for all karaoke discs, to my knowledge. Apparently, no karaoke disc contains the actual song listed on it.

The karaoke CD+G pictured above and its information (catalog number, UPC number, etc...) is just an example of a karaoke disc. It is an actual disc called Top Hits Monthly - Rock November 2001, but I have shown it simply to have a picture for karaoke discs in general.

It appears as though there was another band called Live that existed several years before the more popular Live we know today came along. This earlier Live has nothing at all to do with today's Live. I am not sure how many records the earlier Live had out, but there were at least a few.

The earlier Live had this single out for their song Strut your Stuff in 1981 on The Sound of Brooklyn Records. Although I cannot list off all releases by or containing the earlier Live, it is a rule of thumb to know that our Live (not the earlier one) did not release anything under the name Live before 1991.

Black vinyl.

This video is coded in PAL Regions 2 & 4.

The American Collector's Edition DVD of Mallrats has deleted scenes in its bonus mateirals section. In this section is a short deleted scene where a clip of Live's unreleased song Lift me Up plays. However, this European DVD (and all known DVDs of Mallrats except for the American Collector's Edition one) does NOT contain that deleted scene, and therefore does not contain anything having to do with Live.
