This marks the very first time Live has ever released a picture disc vinyl. It is also the first vinyl single we have received from the band for nearly 4 years (the last being either of the two vinyl singles for 'The Dolphin's Cry', which were released in the last half of 1999).
Although the catalog number for this vinyl single suggests that it is promotional, there does not appear to be any promotional notice whatsoever on the vinyl itself. There is also no mention of the release's origin, but the catalog number can at least tell as that much.
This vinyl single was released a number of months after 'Birds of Pray' was released, yet the vinyl mentions that 'Heaven' is from the "forthcoming album 'Birds of Pray'". Supposedly, it was going to be released much earlier than it was, but a mix-up occurred in the pressing process, where a track by P. Diddy was mistakenly pressed onto a number of copies of this vinyl. Everything had to be redone, and thus the delay.
The vinyl mentions 45 rpm, although the mispressed copies of this vinyl actually play at 33 rpm. I do not know which speed the correctly pressed copies play at.

For instance, while on the European promo the artwork contains a diagonal line descending to the right side of the cover, this one has that line descending to the left. This single also contains the Def Jam and Motor logos, while the other one does not.
This promo CD single does not have a catalog number, though it is a regular silver disc. |

The Israeli 'Heaven' promo CD single is exactly the same as the European commercial CD single [980104 5]. The only difference is that the Israeli promo has a sticker affixed to the front of the case. The sticker mislabels the title track as 'Heven'. |
