An Introduction

Welcome to Live Collector's Resource - the definitive reference point for fans and collectors of the band Live. Here you will find the most comprehensive list of Live material available anywhere. Albums, singles, fanclub releases, album samplers, radio shows, interview discs, videos, compilation and video appearances, side projects...they're all here.

Collecting is not an inexpensive hobby, nor is it a passive one. The sometimes outrageously high prices people are often willing to pay for an item is proof enough of this. Collecting is a competitive sport. There are varying degrees of collecting; for instance, some collectors need only collect one copy of every album and every single in order to be satisfied with their collection. Others need to obtain one copy of everything the band has released (including promotional CDs, cassettes, vinyls, samplers, videos, etc...). The most diehard of collectors (like myself, and I imagine many of you) will be satisfied with nothing short of one copy of everything released by the band, or containing the band or its individual members. There are some exceptions people are willing to make. For instance, I personally draw the line at official audio/video material that somehow includes the voice or instrument of a band member, or at least the band member being involved beyond the point of a behind-the-scenes type of way. Therefore, my collection does not necessarily have to include bootlegs, clothing, posters, ticket stubs, industry trade ads, or anything along the lines of releases by other bands that a member of Live helped produce or mix. In that respect, I guess I cannot consider myself to be amongst the very most diehard of collectors, really, since there must be some collectors out there who want their collections to include even the things I deem unnecessary. Live Collector's Resource is modelled after my needs as a collector. This means that it will not concentrate on bootlegs or anything non-audio/video. Generally, collectors don't tend to get much more involved than myself, so the material covered here should be more than sufficient for pretty much everybody.
